The Risen Word of God: The Greatest Defense Counsel in History

Easter Sunday

Today is the day!!!  It was through the resurrection of Jesus Christ that the Word of God transitioned from the form of an impossible to keep law book riddled with various demonstrations of God’s anger and wrath in the earth into a defense manual for man with unlimited power sent from heaven to rescue us.

When the Word of God (Jesus, John 1:1) went to the cross the laws of Moses were also ordered to the cross by the Father.  The laws of God were also buried and then raised on the third day.  Just as we understand how everything in the world changed when Jesus rose from the dead, we can also firmly receive and believe that the laws that trapped man in the earth after death raised them to life with Jesus during the resurrection transition.  I personally believe one reason is because the revelation of His Glory could not be captured on stones.  It is at the very moment the Word of God writes that first personal love letter on our hearts that everything in the world changes.  Remember! “being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” (2 Corinthians 3:3)

Be certain of this on this Easter Sunday:  This is the day His anger turned from Israel and began to target darkness exclusively and without restraint.  Right now, Jesus (The Risen Word of God) is our defense counsel before Father God and His resurrection also demonstrates His grit and staying power!  When Jesus rose from the dead it was The Word of God Who rose from the dead.  Have you heard this before?  “He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.” (Revelation 19:13)

One thing that makes the relationship special is that we are and will always be His story.  Through the good, the bad, the endless messes, and everything else, by the resurrection our story becomes worthy of the best defense counsel this world has ever seen.  Who else would pursue a sinner to the point of the cross?

“At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ‘Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.-” (Revelation 19:10) Again, “…brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus.”  His story is in us and has never been witnessed recorded leaving.

God Bless you and Happy Easter
